The retrospective and all-American nature of Artifact Dance Project's latest venture, The Great American Dance Tour is especially meaningful for Claire as her grandparents were entertainers during the 1920s through the 1950s. Marvin Lowe, her grandfather played tenor saxophone in New York nightclubs and across the country with big bands such as Raymond Scott, Woody Herman and Bobby Sherwood. Her grandmother, Juel Bell Watkins, was a professional dancer, singer and Vaudeville performer. The Watkins Twins (Juel with her identical twin sister, June) joined the USO to entertain injured soldiers across the country and around the world. Claire finds inspiration in her family heritage and would like to dedicate this concert to her grandparents.

After Lena graduates and comes home from the Artifact Dance Project tour, she will head to Seattle, WA and begin work as an Optical Engineer on the Xbox Kinect at Microsoft.
