How to pack for this tour:
You will be able to bring one checked bag (75 pounds) and a carry on. You should pack clothes appropriate for summertime and rainy weather. Rain jackets and umbrellas can be purchased in China at a cheap price therefore you do not need to pack those. Bring sturdy shoes that are comfortable. Bring a rotation of clothes that will get you through 1-2 weeks. You should not try to pack for 5 weeks. Laundry is extremely expensive in China and there are no "laundry mats" like we know here. You can purchase detergent in China and use the bathtub to wash your clothes. That is the best and most inexpensive method so bring clothes that wash well (cotton-based material).
